This notice explains how Colonna Archive, photography by Chelsea Colonna, handles information when you browse galleries, download photos, request photo removal, or sign up for email updates.

Photos and requests

Published galleries contain event photographs. If you ask for a photo to be removed, we collect the email address you provide, your optional name, the selected photo names and links, the event, your reason, and any details you choose to send. We use that information to review your request and respond. Photos are reviewed by the owner; submitting a request does not remove them automatically.

Privacy requests and accessibility feedback collect your email and the message you send. Please avoid including identification documents, financial information, health details, or other sensitive information.

Gallery activity and approximate location

Custom gallery analytics record photo opens, favorites, download actions, broad device type, referral domains or campaign labels, and approximate city, region and country. Connection-based location can be inaccurate, particularly with VPNs and mobile networks. The custom analytics database does not store raw IP addresses, GPS coordinates, street addresses, full referral URLs, or identities of people pictured.

A random identifier saved in your browser supports view counting and estimates of new and returning browsers. The service hashes identifiers before storing them. Browser storage also remembers favorites and gallery preferences. Clearing storage or using another device starts a different browser history.

Loading measurements and limited error categories help us diagnose problems. Download counts describe download actions; they cannot confirm that a file was saved on your device.

Your analytics choice

You can disable custom gallery activity reporting in this browser below. The gallery also respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control for custom activity reporting. This preference does not prevent necessary hosting, security processing, form delivery, or separate hosting analytics.

Email updates

If you subscribe, your email address and album preferences are stored by the notification service. A confirmation step is required before photo updates are sent. Confirmation links expire after 48 hours, and update emails contain an unsubscribe link. Email delivery uses Brevo when configured. Your email address is not shown publicly on the gallery or dashboard totals.

Service providers and external links

Cloudflare hosts the site, application and databases and may process connection information and logs for hosting, security and analytics. Formspree processes and forwards visitor request submissions. Brevo processes addresses and messages needed for email delivery. These providers have their own data practices. Links to Instagram and other external sites are governed by those sites' policies.

The request service temporarily stores a salted, connection-based rate-limit key to limit automated submissions. This is separate from gallery analytics.

Retention and access

Detailed custom visit, location, performance and error history is retained for up to 90 days. Daily view-deduplication records are kept for a shorter period. Aggregate photo totals may remain after detailed history is cleared. Favorites remain until changed or removed; browser preferences remain until cleared. Subscriber information remains while a subscription is active; pending confirmations expire and are cleaned up by the notification service.

We keep visitor requests and review notes while handling them and as needed to retain a record of their resolution. Copies held by delivery providers or in email may have separate retention. Access to the owner inbox and settings requires login.
